On October 20, during the Space fortnight, the France Pavilion organized, in partnership with CNES, the UAE University and Unistellar, a special day dedicated to space exploration!
What is the future of space exploration?
During this special day dedicated to Space, the France Pavilion, CNES and the United Arab Emirates University celebrated international space cooperation and presented a selection of innovations and technical advances regarding Mars exploration. Conferences, panel discussions and projection introduced remote sensing and earth observation and the daily life of Thomas Pesquet during his Proxima Mission.

Conference "ISS, the flying lab" and panel discussion "Remote Sensing & Earth Observation"
This afternoon, visitors of the France Pavilion attended several interesting conferences around the space theme: the role of the International Space Station and its quality as a flying laboratory, the challenges of Earth observation, etc. Exchanges between visitors and experts from CNES and the United Arab Emirates University presented the many French innovations that enable to live and explore space!
Screening of the movie "16 sunrises"
During this day dedicated to space exploration, visitors to the French Pavilion discovered "16 levers de soleil", a documentary by Pierre-Emmanuel Le Goff on Thomas Pesquet's Proxima space Mission. Throwback at his six months in the Space Station, during which a dialogue was opened between the astronaut and Saint-Exupéry's Little Prince This projection was commented by Alexis Paillet, a CNES expert.

Stargazing night with the world's most powerful telescope
The most powerful telescope in the world developed by Unistellar was settled this evening on the esplanade of the France Pavilion for a stargazing night to the delight of visitors!
