A thematic fortnight dedicated to Peace

France has chosen to put the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) initiated by the UN at the heart of its event programming. From November 12 to November 25, the France Pavilion has set the pace for its events and programming around the theme of Peace. Bulding and maintain peace needs a strong involvement of the international community, in that way the France Pavilion adresses this subject within the framework of Expo 2020 in Dubai. Find out more

Photo exhibition by the Agence Vu'

Every two weeks, the France Pavilion hosts a photo exhibition on its esplanade to illustrate the Sustainable Development Goals defined by the UN. For the fortnight dedicated to Peace, the France Pavilion and the Agence Vu' wanted to highlight the artworks of the photographer Maia Flore which symbolize in a poetic way the theme of Peace.

November 20th and 21th  - International Conference Ethics of Tolerance: Phenomenological Perspectives on the Other

For our thematic fortnight dedicated to Peace, the France Pavilion hosted the International Conference Ethics of Tolerance: Phenomenological Perspectives on the Other organized by the University Sorbonne Abu Dhabi.

The new temporary exhibition "The French art de vivre, a dream to share", by Chalhoub Group

Chalhoub Group presents at the France Pavilion the temporary exhibition “The French art de vivre, a dream to share”, an immersive exhibition about French art de vivre via tableware, until December 6th  The temporary exhibition, organised by the Chalhoub Group through its art de vivre concept store Tanagra, showcases the three legendary houses Baccarat, Bernardaud and Christofle for an immersion into the French art de vivre. This immersive exhibition combines prestigious creations with a spectacular scenography to take visitors through the process of French creation and savoir-faire while exploring how modernity is redefining the French tradition of tableware. Free entrance without reservation.

The France Pavilion welcomed the other pavilions' teams on the Belvedere for "La French Night"! An opportunity to celebrate international collaboration and contributes to stronger ties among countries! A soirée in collaboration with Pernod Ricard.

France Pavilion records more than 500,000 visitors

France Pavilion enlightens Dubai World Expo with more than 500,000 visitors from the World Expo opening. Erik Linquier, Commissioner General for France, has welcomed our 500,000th visitors of the Pavilion: Marie-Christine and Laurent, travelling to Dubai and coming from Niort in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The France Pavilion has then organized a private visit of the permanent exhibition of the Pavilion.

The France Pavilion, the business place at Expo 

On November 18th, as part of the ADIPEC Live Exhibition, the international meeting place for the oil and gas industry, the delegation composed of exhibiting companies met at a cocktail at the Belvedere of the France Pavilion in the presence of the local and regional business community and many UAE actors in the oil sector. An event organized by Business France.

The France Pavilion has welcomed today a large delegation from the Région Normandie composed of twenty companies in the arts and crafts sectors. Carried by its regional president Hervé Morin, this trip to Dubai aims to promote the economic attractiveness of the region to investors and develop new partnerships with local actors. 

Throwback to the official visits

H.S.H Prince Albert II of Monaco - 13 November

For the National Day of Monaco Pavilion, we were delighted to welcome at the France Pavilion H.S.H Prince Albert II of Monaco, Pierre Dartout - State Minister, Head of Government, Jean Castellini - Minister of Financial and Economy, Laurent Anselmi - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Stéphane Valeri - President of the National Council, Richard Milanesio - Advisor to the Cabinet of the Sovereign Prince, for a private visit of our permanent exhibition. A unique moment of exchange which promoted the friendly and bilateral relationship between France and the Principality of Monaco. 

Florence Parly - 15 November

Florence Parly, French Minister of the Army, came to the France Pavilion on November 15 to a visit of the permanent exhibition. Her presence in Dubai was part of the Dubai Air show, the largest air show in the Middle East. The Minister also visited the Women's Pavilion and the UAE Pavilion.

Bruno Le Maire - 22 November

We have welcomed Bruno Le Maire, French Minister of Economy, Finance and Recovery at the France Pavilion: “This Pavilion is one of the best way of presenting the French success and savoir-faire.” The French Minister visited the permanent exhibition dedicated to the notion of progress, the temporary exhibition on the French art de vivre, and then ended at the Belvedere.
