The temporary exhibition, organised by the Chalhoub Group through its art de vivre concept store Tanagra, showcases the three legendary houses Baccarat, Bernardaud and Christofle for an immersion into the French art de vivre.
This immersive exhibition combines prestigious creations with a spectacular scenography to take visitors through the process of French creation and savoir-faire while exploring how modernity is redefining the French tradition of tableware.
Since 1830 Christofle, the Parisian goldsmith, has been creating exceptional tableware, refined jewelry and home accessories with elegance and know-how. It is this irreplaceable human know-how, perpetuated by highly qualified craftsmen and handed down from master to pupil, that constitutes the living heritage of Christofle.
Since 1764, Baccarat has written its destiny in sparkling letters. Founded in Lorraine, on the authorisation of King Louis XV, the most illustrious crystal factory in the world has crossed the ages to become a symbol of excellence and art of living.
The great industrial and artistic adventure of the Bernardaud factory began in 1863 in a region that possesses the three essential elements for the manufacture of porcelain: kaolin, fresh water and forests. This French story continues in the 21st century with Maison Bernardaud successfully tackling technological and creative changes and thus beginning the third millennium with serenity and determination.
